Information Kit and Cartoon Booklet on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 launched

Kathmandu - launch of UNSCR 1325 information kit and cartoon booklet. United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1325 was formally adopted in October, 2000. It examines the differential impact of conflict on women and men and promotes both women's participation and protection in the peace process. In order to simplify the content of the resolution and highlight its relevance for Nepal, an information kit for journalists was developed by UNFPA, with support from SAATHI. Similarly, on order to simplify the content of the resolution and emphasize the importance of women's participation in the Nepalese peace process, a cartoon booklet was developed for semi-literate grass roots audiences.
